 Belle

Belle is a Pyrenean Shepherd, her registered name is Annebelle de La Brise. She came to me with the call name of 'Annie', I seriously thought of keeping that name for her...then I could introduce myself: "Hi my name is Anne and by dog's name is Annie"...from the old joke form the Bob Newhart show...here's my brother Darrell and my other brother Darrell. But then reasoning prevailed and I started calling her Belle, tho she still responds to Annie. Belle is my first agility dog and she has taught me a lot. She went to the NADAC Championships this last year and did pretty well, continually improving over the week's worth of competitions as I continued to work on my nerves and positive attitude; she responded with running with more confidence and joy. She definitely is a barometer for my state of mind. Belle had a litter of pups two years ago. One lives here in the Valley and we see him frequently the two girls moved to Minnesota, and are starting to tear up the agility/obedience/herding trials in that neck of the woods. They get their herding abilities from their Momma. Belle recently entered and succeeded in a AHBA herding trial. The judge loved her and told me that I had a "helluva nice little dog" I had to agree and I think that's the consensus of most those that meet her...she's a great little dog. Belle also has won the Pyrenean Shepherd Nationals Conformation Shows both years I traveled to compete in them. I have to say, to date, there isn't anything I've challenged Belle with that she hasn't responded to with class and much success!
