Teacup CLASS is Sundays at 6:00 p.m. and
PRACTICE is following at 7:00 p.m.!!
Teacup Agility:
Teacup Dog Lovers,
GDAC is planning to hold open session practices for Teacup dogs (17" and
under at the withers). Sunday afternoons at 3:00 P.M., Livestock Barn #1
at the Gallatin Co. Fairgrounds. We will begin this Sunday the 10th.
We will be setting courses using our smaller TDAA equipment and the
courses will reflect the style of courses you and your dog would
encounter at a TDAA trial. This is a great opportunity to refine your
handling skills, and prepare for the Billings TDAA trial & Winterfest
Demos in February. It will also be FUN!
Hope to see you there.
Regards,
Amy Crowder
A new group is forming! It's for all those little dogs who want to
act like the big dogs, but hate to run the long distance the big dogs
do!! Any dog that measures 17" or less at the shoulders may
compete, regardless of breed.
Spacing between obstacles is 8'-10' (as opposed to 18'-20' in NADAC, and
15'-18' in AKC). The contact equipment is smaller, with easier
angles, the jumps are not as wide, and the weave poles have a spacing
of 18" between poles (21"-24" in NADAC and 20"-22" in AKC). You
can view pictures of the equipment below.
We are appreciative of Bud Houston for starting this venue. Our
little dogs sure seem to have lots and lots of fun.
